Smart Toilets for Kids: Auto Flush, Heated Seat and a Lid That Closes Itself
Kids forget to flush, leave the lid up and make a mess with toilet paper. A smart toilet takes care of most of that on its own. Here is what each feature does for a family with kids, and which levels include it.

It flushes by itself
Every smart toilet in our catalog has an automatic flush: when your child stands up and walks away, it flushes. No more surprises left in the bowl, and a foot-touch flush is there too.
The lid opens and closes by itself
On the Premium levels, the lid lifts when someone walks up and closes after they leave. If your child forgets to close it, the toilet does.
A warm seat and a gentle wash
The heated seat makes the toilet less of a shock on cold mornings, which helps kids who are still getting used to the big toilet. Advanced and Premium levels add a warm-water wash with adjustable temperature and pressure, so kids get clean with less paper and fewer clogs. Some models also have a gentler wash setting.
A night light for night visits
A soft light inside the bowl turns on in the dark, so kids can find the toilet at night without switching on a bright light.

Fewer splashes and less cleaning
The pre-wet bowl and the self-cleaning nozzle mean less scrubbing. The ADA models add a foam shield that covers the water before use, which cuts down on splashes and stains.
Safety
The smart toilets we install have built-in safety controls that keep the seat from overheating, and every toilet we install gets its own GFCI outlet. For small children, keep the wash at a low temperature and pressure until they get used to it.
Which smart toilet should you pick for a kids' bathroom?
- For automatic flush, a heated seat and a night light at the lowest price, the Standard levels have them.
- To add the warm-water wash and the dryer, choose an Advanced level.
- For the lid that opens and closes by itself, choose a Premium level. The ADA Premium models add the foam shield and a taller seat.
